Stop at Banff Centre


Over 8,000* artists, leaders, and researchers from across Canada and around the world participate in programs at The Banff Centre every year.  Training and professional development is offered at the post-graduate level in more than a dozen art forms including, music, theatre, dance, opera, Indigenous arts, literature, ceramics, print-making, painting, papermaking, photography, sculpture, audio engineering, digital film and video, and new media. Work is showcased in public performance, events, and exhibitions throughout the year, culminating in the annual Banff Summer Arts Festival.

Jasper Artists Guild (JAG)


A must see on your tour of the Jasper area, the Hangout Gallery presents a timely offering of local and regional art. Since opening it’s first permanent gallery in July 2003, JAG operates Jasper's only artist-run gallery, has experienced boundless success and received acclaim from thousands of international visitors.  Come and view our eclectic collection of oils, acrylics, watercolours, drawings, photo-based works, clay and metal sculptures and converse with our informed gallery representatives.


Valemount Visitors Centre


The Valemount Visitor/Interpretive Centre is the perfect first stop for anyone visiting Valemount.  Friendly staff provide great local and provincial information, maps, room reservations, and bookings for local activities. The centre also has a wide selection of Super, Natural BC and Valemount souvenirs including arts and crafts from local artisans that are available for purchase.  Discover our local history with a guided tour through our local museum.   Stop into the Trading Post, where you’ll find local arts and crafts from the region’s most creative artisans, and take some of these unique pieces back home with you.

The Whistle Stop Gallery


The Whistlestop Gallery is located in the Historic McBride Train station at the end of McBride's Main street.  The Gallery represents over 65 area Artists in such mediums as oil and watercolour painting, photography, ceramics, woodworking, quilting, glass works, fabrics, and jewellery.  McBride's location in the beautiful Robson Valley between the Cariboo and Rocky Mountains is an inspiration to all area artists.  Situated on highway 16, 150 kilometers (90 miles) west of Jasper National Park, McBride is a favourite stop for travellers on route to Alaska.


The Robson Valley Music Festival


One of the newest and coolest grass roots, multi-genre Music Festivals in BC! Held in the heart of the pristine and remote Robson Valley. Celebrating incredible local, regional and international talent and linking our remote, rural community to the wider world of performance art.  Headliners included the Juno -award winner," Youssou Seck"accompanied by Latin guitar maestro: "Manuel Jara" and percussionist extraordinaire: "Brent Van dusin".  Offering attendees from near and far one of the most incredibly powerful presentations of live entertainment, in one of the most pristine environments in the west!
